Pictures!

I finally have a minute to post some pictures of our weekend. We spent Friday night and most of the day Saturday at Clear Lake with friends that have a house up there. The weather wasn't great, but any day at the lake is a good day!

Saturday afternoon we went to a Pirate Party on the Lady of the Lake boat. These balloon swords were the hit of the party.

Adam tubing alone for the first time! Last summer he went with Darby, this summer he wanted to go alone. At first he kept telling Matt "Faster". Then he changed his tune to "Too fast! Still too fast!" After that he asked Darby to join him for a little while.

Saturday evening we left the lake to head back to Ankeny to have dinner with Al, Patti, Mark, Todd, Kari, Nathan, and Cole. Todd and Kari came in for a short weekend to celebrate Mark's graduation from Iowa State. The chickens Al roasted on the grill were superb as were all of the side dishes! We never go hungry in a Van Thomme house.
Sunday morning we had breakfast with the crew (minus a sleeping Mark) at Village Inn before Todd et al headed back to Michigan. It was a short visit, but very good to see everyone.
After breakfast Adam and I helped Kurt move into his new office. With some people leaving and some new hires at the firm they have been playing merry-go-office. He moved one office over to have a bigger office and more windows. He now has a north facing window so he can look out and pretend he sees home when he is working all of those long hours.
