Lunch with Carolyn and John, Al and Patti, Kurt and I, and of course the graduate. We ate at a great Irish restaurant in Ames. Per the usual, no one went away hungry.

It all started in Ankeny. Really, it did. Kurt and I on a bus to State Marching Band and Ankeny's Mid-Iowa Band Championships. Who knew then that we'd be the Van Thomme Family and settle down in this great city so many years later?
