Ankeny Tennis

As many of you know Adam fell in love with the game of tennis several years ago when he attended his first Ankeny Tennis Camp. Coach D makes it so much fun how could anyone not love tennis? Adam is back at it this summer and having a blast. (Minus the hot, sweaty part. He really takes after his dad in not being a fan of being hot.)

 The special part about this summer is that Grant is finally old enough to go to camp too! They offer mini camp for 4 year olds. It is just a half hour but they sure do pack in the skills. I am so impressed!

 Here is Grant's group. He is so proud of himself that he is getting better at tennis. He still has trouble hitting the ball, but like I said, Coach D and the crew make it so fun the kids forget to be frustrated.

 Duck Duck Ball. Grant's favorite game at camp. He also likes to Volley because you step and punch. Punch being hitting the ball over the net with the racket. Much more productive than a real punch. :)

I'm having a blast watching tennis this summer. One of my former students is coaching. It is so cool to see another one of my kids all grown up teaching my own kids.
