Time to Get Away

We decided to give the Great Wolf Lodge in Kansas City a try this year. Grant got a new neck pillow for the car that just had to go to story time at the clock tower with he and his friend.
The kids were well behaved and patient at story time. This one was seriously lacking in comparison to the one we saw in the Dells last year. The sound on the clock tower was way too soft and the reader read way to fast for anyone to hear or understand.
Worn out from his afternoon at the water park!
Grant's 1st year of MagiQuest! He loved making things move and talk, but didn't really care about actually solving the quests. He also was seriously distracted every time we walked by a window that overlooked the water park. He loved watching the big green bucket!
Adam's true love is MagiQuest at Great Wolf. He has fun at the water park, but this is the absolute best part. Except....The dragon wasn't working. Without the dragon you can't finish questing. They didn't apologize, put up a sign, or anything. It was just not working for the last half of our stay. I was not impressed with the lack of customer service for all of the kids that were playing the game. I don't expect monetary gain, but an I'm sorry sign would have gone a long way.
Adam had fun getting his picture taken with everyone this year. Grant wanted nothing to do with any of them.
The black light made this pic kind of fun.
Our last day I braved an hour in the water park with the good camera. Grant loved this red rope!
While Grant loved watching the big green bucket dump, Adam loved getting hit by all of the water.

It took awhile, but Grant did finally find a few places on the climbing structure he was comfortable playing in. He did not want to get hit by the dumping water.
 Grant's favorite bucket.
The slides.  Adam did them all. The Triple Twist was his favorite.
The end of the Triple Twist. If the line wasn't so long he would have gone again.
A family pic before our 2:00 checkout. Our keys died before 2:00 so we couldn't get in our room. I went to the lobby 3 times for new keys, each time being given a key that still didn't work. Quite a workout since we were in the last room at the end of the hall, far far away from the lobby. Finally housekeeping took pity on me and let us in so we could take our pics and get our stuff. While we of course had a super fun time, I think we will drive the extra miles to the Dells when we go again.
