Labor Day Weekend

We started the weekend with no plans, but managed to find lots of fun ways to fill our days.
Friday Grant decided to make his own fun...
Friday night I didn't get out the camera, but Al and Patti came over for some fun play time with the boys.  After the kids went to bed we adults had filet and crab legs for a late dinner.  Amazing way to start the weekend!
Saturday morning we started the day at Fong's Pizza and the Farmer's Market.  If you haven't had Fong's breakfast pizza (or any of their pizza's for that matter) you are missing out!  Grant would also highly recommend the egg rolls. Some sweet corn, chocolate peppers, and mustard greens managed to hop in our bag this week.  The greens were an accident.  Not the tasty salad I had intended on.  Live and learn.  Good news - we've all tried something new.
Saturday afternoon Grandma Trip and Grandpa Andy came by for a visit.  Adam is still a musician and talked the grandparents into joining his marching band.

The big highlight of the weekend was a visit from Uncle Bob and Judy.  They brought Grandpa Waldorf and Diane up to our house for Waldo Burgers.  For those of you who haven't heard the story....My Grandpa Clarence had an aluminum plate that he put on the grill to cook burgers on.  Uncle Bob inherited the plate.  Like a good cast iron skillet, the plate doesn't ever see soap.  There isn't a burger on the planet that matches the famous "Waldo Burger" cooked on Grandpa's plate over red hot charcoal.  (Hence Bob's travel grill, not our natural gas grill seen in the background.)
