What a Week!

And it isn't even Friday yet!

Sunday we served communion at church before heading to the Gruenwald's for football and to follow the baseball games. Greg is a White Sox fan and we are Twins fans, so you know what we were hoping for on Sunday! The kids had a blast as Owen continued to celebrate his birthday with more legos. Watching the grandparents assemble lego creations is a sight to behold.

Monday morning Kurt headed off to work, Adam to preschool, and I met up with Dad. He tried to pick up his new car but they were not ready for him. He and I returned some stone samples and went to walk through the new house. Dad got to meet the builder and check out where all of the power is heading. They hope to have the electrical done by Tuesday and the next inspection done on Thursday of next week. At 11:15 Dad picked up Adam from preschool to keep him overnight while Kurt and I headed north for Monday night football. Go Vikings!

Eric and his uncle joined us for a great came. Prior to the game we had beverages and dinner at The Corner Bar, across from the hotel, across 35W from the Metrodome. After the game we returned there to celebrate with a few fans and to try to wind down. Amazing the rush a quality home win gives you. BTW for those interested: The Corner Bar has the best virgin bloody mary on the planet!

Tuesday morning we hit the road for home at 8. Tuesday night we watched an insane baseball game on tv. Tigers vs Twins for the division championship. If you missed it, the Twins won in 12 innings. Go Twins!

Wednesday morning was preschool and sending Kurt to work with a suitcase as he was heading to Minnesota for a client meeting after work. About 6 or so I got a text from him saying he thought he was coming down with the flu. Boo him. I told him he couldn't come home. Well this morning he hit the road for home while letting his collegues go to the meetings. Adam and I have moved out for a few days and Kurt is in his own bed fighting the flu. Adam will go to school in the morning then he and I are headed for my cousin Katherine's volleyball game at Highland tomorrow afternoon. We may go home on Saturday or we may continue our adventure. Who knows who could be blessed with a visit from us next!

Dad did manage to get his new car on Tuesday. It is a 2009 Pontiac Solstice. Here is a picture of him tonight. He took me for a convertible ride since Adam is spending the night at Grandma Trip and Grandpa Andy's house.
