Gardening Success

So I've never had a real garden.  At the old house we had too much shade for me to really give gardening a good try.  I succeeded in keeping the peonies and roses alive that were there when we moved in and grew hostas and impatiens like crazy.  So so far we do not have an actual garden at the new house even though we do have plenty of sun.  We're trying to make one fit into the overall plan for our backyard.  Who knows when the overall plan will actually happen...So until then we are doing our best at container gardening.  Adam's veggie of choice this year was sugar snap peas.  So far, so good!

Another fun find in our backyard this year is itty bitty frogs (or toads? How do you know what they are?) The kids love to catch them, play awhile, and let them hop out into the grass.  Who needs cats when you have 2 kids?  Here is Adam with one of the little guys.

Here is a pic that got missed in my Grant's First Sail post.  This is what sailing and no nap does to my darling 3 year old.  Once we got home from the lake we sent the boys downstairs to relax until dinner.  It isn't often that I get adorable sleeping shots of this one!
