Adventureland

It looks like we've created an end of summer vacation tradition.  Our real estate agent once again offered us great discounted tickets to Adventureland this year so we took advantage for another Adam only outing.  Grant stayed home to have fun with Grandpa Andy.  We are pretty sure he had more fun there than if he'd have gone along and had to stand in lines for rides.
Adam and Kurt on the Sky Ride.  We rode this several times!  At one point a grandma put 2 kids on the ride and didn't follow.  She didn't read and understand that the kids would not be making a round trip.  I told her this and instead of hopping on, she walked across the park.  I told the kids that she was on her way and that they should wait for her once they were off the ride on the other side.  We hung around until they were reunited which thankfully wasn't very long since the ride made several stops while we were in the air.

Adam and I rode the log ride twice.  It felt great to get wet.  It was a cool 93 degrees while we were there.  A 10 degree difference from the temps the week before.

Adam's first try at driving his own bumper car.

While Adam is tall enough and enjoys many of the big rides he is still a kid and loves those rides too.

Another favorite

I couldn't believe Kurt went in circles with Adam.  I tend to watch the teacups.

The closest we could come to the Olympic Games in 2012.  The Ferris Wheel at Adventureland is a bit smaller than London but it still offers a good view.  From here we changed into our swimwear and hit Adventure Bay for a few hours. The giant wave pool was his favorite part this year.

This year we gave Adam a game allowance.  $15 for the day.  Kurt helped him pick a few guaranteed win games and let him fail a time or 2 as well.

Race winner!

First time on the Raging River.  It was a hit!  We hit this one late in the day so we were still very wet when we left for home.

Thank you Grandpa Waldorf for introducing Adam to Carnival Games Wii.  He was dying to try all of his favorite games from the video game.  This one happens to be one of my favorites in real life.  He rolled 2 50s while playing!  I've never done that.

Last ride of the day.  We tried to do the ferris wheel but the line was way too long.  Adam is already making plans for the trip we will make when Grant is 5 and getting ready for kindergarten.  In Adam's mind that will be Grant's first trip and he will need his big brother's help learning the ropes.
Just for fun I pulled out a photo taken on October 20, 2008 of Adam on the carousel at Disney World.

We never made it to AdventureLand when we lived there, it looks like so much fun for the kids. Great pictures!
