Last weekend we decided to take Adam out for a surprise. Ever since he and I went to Minnesota with my dad and he was able to bowl in the basement of the hotel he has wanted to go back. Kurt and I took him to the local alley Saturday morning. Thank goodness they had a ramp for when his arms got tired.

It all started in Ankeny. Really, it did. Kurt and I on a bus to State Marching Band and Ankeny's Mid-Iowa Band Championships. Who knew then that we'd be the Van Thomme Family and settle down in this great city so many years later?
